Project Overview: Better Homes Realty (BHR) is a Real Estate brokerage firm that buys and sells homes throughout the Sacramento region. When they wished to increase market share in their target communities, BHR decided to engage Providence Technology Group to perform end-to-end system implementation services in delivering a sophisticated state-of-art web application/portal.  Toward that end, Providence used Project Management Institute (PMI) and SDLC methodologies, began work on the project.

Project Highlights:

• Developed an overall Project Plan that included scope, objectives, distribution of tasks, timelines, project communication and change control methods as well as risk management procedures. 

• Met with management, users and technical staff to determine BHR vision and requirements for their Real Estate portal. 

• Conducted Several JAD and Requirements Sessions,

• Used many requirements and facilitation tools and techniques, including use cases and workflow diagramming to make clear many complex business issues that needed to be resolved. 

• Conducted detailed market analysis of best practices.( features, services, look and feel, statistical information required, financial tools used, etc.)

Currently, Providence provides ongoing systems support for the Real Estate portal and associated applications.  The customer is able to make site and content updates easily.  Providence continues to provide scheduled performance testing, system analysis and upgrades, report verification, hosting and domain contract updates, web reporting, system documentation updates, etc.
