Project
Overview: Be My Neighbor Network (BMNN), a portal company that
develops, manages and operates fully functional community based web
portals throughout
California
, engaged Providence Technology Group to work with BMNN staff for a
complex system upgrade. This
project was aimed at enhancing many of the existing features and
services of the portal as well as producing more business partner
friendly functionality and interfaces to increase revenue.
The end result is a series of community portals that provide BMNN
Business Partners a much more robust and interactive system and method
to engage their own customers.
Project
Highlights:
- Compiled a complete assessment
of the functionality of the existing portals, including ease of use,
look and feel of the modules, usage statistics, etc,.
- Coordinated and held JAD
sessions w/staff and selected Business Partners to determine new
features and processes that needed to be added to the site.
- Facilitated business process
engineering, incorporating new functionality from the requirements
that significantly increased Business Partner and system
administrator visibility.
- Performed system re-design on
external interfaces.
- Working with the Client,
Providence performed all project planning and project management
tasks.
- Created the functional
requirements and specifications diagrams.
- Performed database design and
redesign.
- Created system design
documents.
