Business Analyst
The best candidate for this position will have project
management and group facilitation experience,
documentation skills, and be
able to work well with business customers and IT.
Duties:
- Joins Management meetings representing IT issues.
- Assist with IT projects and IT issues within a division.
- Review, analyze and gather business requirements for
existing business processes.
- Conduct interviews/group sessions with customer SMEs
(subject matter experts) and translate into process documentation.
- Act as a liaison between vendors, technical support and
divisions to resolve complex system and network problems. Coordinates and
implements corrective measures.
- Lead and facilitate meetings with various project teams.
- Establish appropriate documentation for work performed
and complete appropriate computer work.
- Provide knowledge transfer to others as directed.
- Skills/Knowledge Required
- California and /or local government experience
Experience:
- Strong experience in gathering business requirements
- As-is and To-be diagramming, requirements gathering and
gap analysis
- PMI methodology
- Strong analytical and fact finding skills
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Exceptional interpersonal/interviewing/communication
skills
- Technical writing/documentation skills
- Ability to function effectively as a team member or team
lead
- Ability to establish cooperative and positive work
relationships
- Experience leading groups " Experience using MS
Office Suite products and Visio.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of hardware, database
software and networking
